Access4 expands into UK with Luminate Wholesale buy

Cloud communications vendor Access4 has made a strategic step in expanding into the UK, acquiring Luminate Wholesale.

Luminate is a UK telecom provider offering white-label hosted voice solutions that enable resellers to control their brand, pricing, and customer experience.

This move introduces Access4’s SaaS Communications Platform, SASBOSS, to the UK market, empowering channel partners with automation and intelligent UC, CX, and UX service delivery.

The expansion into the UK comes at a pivotal moment as the market undergoes a major transformation following the copper network shutdown. 

With SASBOSS, Access4 helps service providers automate, scale, and future-proof their cloud communication offerings, eliminating operational complexity while unlocking new revenue opportunities.

“Bringing SASBOSS to the UK is a game-changer for service providers looking to differentiate themselves in a rapidly evolving market,” Access4 CEO and founder Tim Jackson said. 

“With the copper switch-off accelerating the need for next-generation cloud solutions, our platform enables partners to scale efficiently, automate service delivery, and provides end-customers with unified communications, contact centre, and user experience solutions.”

The acquisition also brings the 10-strong Luminate team into the Access4 family, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity of service for all staff. 

Luminate managing director, Jonathan Walker, will become a new member of the Access4 executive leadership team and will continue to play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy of the business and deepening relationships with partners and vendors across the UK.

The acquisition of Luminate not only strengthens Access4’s presence in the UK but also demonstrates the transportability and scalability of SASBOSS beyond the A/NZ region.

As Access4 continues to expand into Europe, the company remains committed to enabling service providers with innovative solutions that drive efficiency, growth, and long-term success.

During its recent partner event held in Sydney in March, Access4 revealed it experienced a 38 per cent increase in partners that came through its acquisition of Channel UC last year along with a 53 per cent uplift in customers, with about 350,000 services on the platform.
