Acer A/NZ has announced its new Accelerate partner program, which the company said signified a revitalised focus on partner engagement and a collaborative, partner-centric approach.

Aligning with the company’s renewed go-to-market strategy, the program aims to expand Acer’s investment in partner engagement and build a robust foundation to continually grow its channel partner ecosystem and SMB market share.

Acer said the new partner program is designed for businesses of all sizes and verticals from SMB through to education, corporate and government.

“The opportunity for growth in the A/NZ market has never been bigger for Acer,” said Cameron Anderson, general manager of Acer Australia Commercial and also of New Zealand.

“While Acer A/NZ continues to extend its strong footprint in the corporate, government and education sectors, we are also focused on growing our presence and investment within the distribution channel and SMB market.”

The goal the new partner program was to drive mutual success and growth by building a strong and collaborative foundation through channel partners and distribution networks, as well as fostering long-term relationships with partners, Anderson said.

While it was a global company, Acer had been operating in the region for over 30 years and was committed to supporting the A/NZ market, he said.

Acer offered partners access to a local warehouse, logistics, manufacturing and managed services from its Sydney-based facility as well as dedicated local technical support and a local call centre, Anderson said.

The partner program offered three tiers of partnership, silver, gold and platinum, designed to allow participants to deepen their business relationship and expand market reach and sales potential through a range of benefits and resources.

Differing criteria need to be met to unlock access to each level.

One of the program’s most compelling benefits was the rebate structure, designed to reward sales performance and maximise profitability. Channel partners start receiving rewards from the first $1 achieved across all three tiers.

“Acer values its partners and recognises their critical role; we want to partner with resellers who share our commitment to delivering innovative products and services,” said said Ali Lokhandwala, head of distribution and channel partners at Acer Computer Australia.

“By fostering strong, value-driven partnerships, we strive to create sustainable growth and success for both our partners and our customers.”

In addition to a “compelling” rebate structure, the Accelerate partner program provided a range of further benefits, including access to training and certification, and incentives and rewards such as exclusive promotions.

Distributor Bluechip’s sales director, Ron Jarvis, said one of the best things about the program was that it is designed for the whole channel, from SMB through to corporate, with an inclusive and straightforward structure.

“Bluechip has a long-standing association with Acer, with the new program illustrating Acer’s long-term dedication to fostering partner relationships,” Jarvis said.

“The program offers compelling benefits – such as partners earning rewards from dollar one – with this sure to be a strong incentive.”
