Headquartered in Calgary, Canada, Smart’s range of AV products are designed for business and education use. Nicholas Svensson, Smart president and CEO, said the vendor is working with Alloys to expand its distribution network in Australia. “[Alloys’] values align with ours and their capabilities will allow us to support more schools and organisations across the country,” she said. AV is one of Alloys’ specialties, along with print and lifestyle technologies, which in turn has helped it survive and thrive for over 40 years. “The addition of Smart continues our drive to be the cornerstone marketplace for visual solutions in Australia,” said Alloys CEO Paul Harman. The distributor’s latest addition to its portfolio comes seven months after Alloys celebrated the completion of its new Queensland distribution centre with a party and ribbon-cutting ceremony in March. At the time, ARN reported the new facility boasts eight times the space of its previous warehouse and includes corporate offices, corporate offices, showrooms and customer training facilities.
