South Australian-based cyber security specialist Arxis has marked its first year in business, achieving several milestones across technical, operational and sales metrics.

The MSSP was launched by Mark Michael, Tim Fitzgerald, Paul and Andrew Vinton last year.

In an interview with ARN, Michael said it became one of the fastest partners to achieve Fortinet Advanced Partner Status, showcasing its expertise and technical commitment.

Operationally, the business expanded its team to 14 employees and has won more than 200 opportunities, Michael said “earning the trust of more than 60 customers and solidifying our reputation as a reliable and innovative partner.”

“In the past 12 months we have focused on establishing a solid foundation for Arxis to scale and achieve significant growth,” he added.

“We’ve built a strong technical backbone that has allowed us to launch the business from a position of technical strength. Operationally, we have employed our first management layer, enabling us to scale our services and meet increasing customers’ demands.”

This momentum positions Arxis to expand its offerings, deepen partnerships and continue driving growth into new markets.

Arxis will continue to invest ahead of the curve in all aspects of the organisation, sales, operations and engineering, Michael added.

“Technically we will look to hire the best and train the rest. We are always on the look out for talent in operations and sales that will help add value to our customers,” he said.

“If we keep investing in individuals who can help us achieve that aim we will be on the right track. We strongly believe that if we are looking after our staff they will look after our customers.

“From a sales perspective my message to the team is simple: love your customers, understand their business and always look for ways to add value or reduce risk.”

Michael highlighted one area it was witnessing significant growth was in private cloud. Arxis recently launched its own Arxis Cloud, which is hosted out of its SA owned and operated data centre featuring more than 200 racks in the north of Adelaide.

“Customers can move their workloads to Arxis Cloud at a fraction of the cost they are paying in public cloud and not pay any egress fees, have access to their data at faster LAN-like speeds and also utilise our backup and disaster recovery as-a-service options for their server or Microsoft 365 environments,” he said.

“As public cloud costs continue to rise, and we are seeing this option become a great one for local businesses.”
