Publicly listed Atturra has managed the implementation of data management and virtualisation platform, Denodo for the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).

The Denodo platform allows users to access data from multiple sources through a logical layer without physically moving or copying it. The decision to select Denodo follows a competitive tender process and supports UTS’s data and integration strategy, a critical enabler of its broader digital transformation initiatives.

“We are proud to support UTS as they modernise their integration landscape and accelerate their digital agenda,” Atturra director of data and analytics Petar Bielovich said.

“Their decision to adopt a logical data management approach reflects a growing trend among institutions looking to increase agility, reduce complexity, and maximise the value of their data.”

Atturra primed the tender response, collaborated closely with UTS throughout the evaluation process and configured the Denodo platform within the UTS environment.

Atturra will continue to support the university in both an advisory and delivery capacity.

Denodo was chosen for its ability to address a broad range of use cases across data integration, management, and delivery, eliminating the need for UTS to procure and maintain multiple platforms.

Through consolidating capabilities within a single, unified platform, UTS will realise significant benefits in platform efficiency, staff training, governance and security uplift, and ongoing operations.

“Our goal is to make data more accessible and useful not just for IT, but for our educators, researchers, and professional staff. Denodo gives us a more flexible and sustainable way to connect our data without unnecessary complexity,” UTS senior platform manager integration Jennifer Leech said.

“With Atturra’s support, this is an important step in creating an integrated ecosystem that enables access to data that corresponds to the fast paced and ever-changing needs of the education industry.”
