Publicly listed cloud and cyber security firm AUCyber has elevated financial controller Joshua Tahana to the role of CFO.

He joined the group via AUCloud in July 2022 as commercial financial manager, later stepping up to financial controller.

According to a statement from AUCyber, Tahana is a qualified chartered accountant with experience in Australian Securities and Exchange (ASX) reporting and technical financial accounting expertise.

Prior to joining AUCyber, he worked as a business analyst at NextDC until 2023, and before that, at PwC.

AUCyber CEO Chris Wright said Tahana’s promotion reflects his “significant contributions to the company to date”.

“His experience, passion and skill sets are well aligned with our objectives to become a capital-light, diversified technology market leader focused on delivering secure cloud infrastructure,” he said.

“We look forward to working with him in the leadership team to deliver on our strategy.”

In February, AUCyber said it experienced a net loss of $19.5 million for the first half of FY25, ending December 31, while revenue was up to $12.3 million.
