This is the second notable appointment made by the business in the last two months, with Jo Masters taking up the newly created role of CEO in early May. In one of her first tasks as CEO, Masters successfully recruited Sheridan-Roddick to lead and grow Baidam’s sales team. “I am extremely excited to have Anita join our team to lead our sales team to achieve growth and support our social impacts,” says Masters. “Anita has a track record of building high-performing sales teams and strong relationships.” Masters said she was fortunate enough to connect with Sheridan-Roddick before Baidam officially went to market for a sales director. “We had a mutual enthusiasm for the prospect of working together. Anita is someone I’ve known for many years through the technology industry, and I have a great deal of professional and personal respect for her capabilities and approach,” Masters said. “Being able to attract a sales professional of her calibre is a direct reflection of the impact Baidam is having in the market.” Sheridan-Roddick joins Baidam after more than eight years at Seccom Global, where she most recently held the role of group sales manager APAC. The role at Baidam appealed to Sheridan-Roddick for several reasons. Sheridan-Roddick will be based at Baidam’s Sydney office, which is on Gadigal Country. “The idea of working for a business that prioritises technical equity to provide opportunities to First Nations Peoples resonated with me, along with the glowing feedback from the channel and vendors,” she said. “It showed me a company that not only lives up to its social commitment to giving back but is also incredibly professional, with a high level of technical expertise and competency. Jo’s appointment as their new CEO and our shared respect for one another sealed the deal.” Sheridan-Roddick is already actively recruiting more salespeople to work in her team at Baidam, but she says that they need to be the right people in more ways than one. “It’s important that my team understand and believe in Baidam’s commitment to technical equity and giving back to the community. That’s the difference that makes us who we are,” she said. SUBSCRIBE TO OUR NEWSLETTER From our editors straight to your inbox Get started by entering your email address below.
