Outsourced security and integrated services provider Certis has hired former Dell Technologies Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) senior vice president and general manager Ng Tian Beng as its new group CEO and president.

He takes the role from Paul Chong, who will now be the company’s advisor to the chairman until his retirement in March 2026.

Certis chairman Allen Lew said Ng’s appointment “marks a new chapter for Certis”.

“His leadership will be instrumental in strengthening our business and culture as we continue to deliver on our purpose,” he said.

On his new role, Ng said he would look to build on Certis’ heritage and transformation.

His appointment comes more than a year after the provider hired Brett Pickens as its Australian CEO in February 2024, who, among other employees, is now a direct report for Ng.

Ng joins Certis after close to 30 years in the technology industry. The majority of that time, at 27 years, was spent at Dell, first joining in 1998 as a sales manager for Singapore large corporate accounts.

In his last role at Dell, the provider said he oversaw partnerships with distributors, system integrators, resellers and independent software vendors while also being its site leader for the vendor’s Singapore arm.

Certis is headquartered in Singapore and has locations in Australia as well as Qatar and maintains a global employee base of 26,000.
