Laptop specialist Dynabook has appointed 26-year company veteran Angela Walker as managing director of the A/NZ region, effective 1 April.

Walker, most recently serving as general manager of Dynabook ANZ, played a pivotal role in the company’s transition from Toshiba Client Solutions to Dynabook ANZ in 2021.

“Angela’s leadership has been instrumental in positioning Dynabook as a trusted partner for businesses across Australia and New Zealand,” said vice-president of Dynabook Nobuko Musumi.

“Her deep understanding of the market, combined with her strategic vision and passion for the brand, makes her the ideal choice to lead Dynabook ANZ into its next phase.”

In her new role, Walker will focus on accelerating Dynabook’s business strategy, expanding partner engagement, and driving continued brand awareness in the business sector.

“I’m honoured to step into this role at such an exciting time for Dynabook,” Walker said. “Our commitment to delivering reliable, secure and innovative laptops remains at the core of our business.”

“I look forward to collaborating with our talented team and valued channel partners to build on our momentum and continue driving success for our customers.”

Dynabook experienced an A/NZ region revenue decline from A$47 million to A$34.4 million in the year to 31 March 2024. The company was responding with new products and campaigns, in particular targeting the emerging AI PC market, Walker told Reseller News last year.

Sales in New Zealand fell from NZ$11.4 million to NZ$5.4 million year on year.

Walker said at the time market conditions had been challenging, with spending freezes in key government accounts and economic uncertainties shaping the business landscape.
