Global distributor Westcon-Comstor has forged a new collaboration with Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions to enhance enterprise connectivity and unlock growth opportunities for partners in Australia and New Zealand.

The agreement builds on a long-standing relationship between the two organisations in the Asia Pacific region, as well as a recent one spanning Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The partnership will accelerate the adoption of Ericsson’s 5G solutions through Westcon’s network of technology resellers, systems integrators, and service providers across the region.

Ericsson’s Enterprise Wireless Solutions, including Ericsson NetCloud, Cradlepoint routers, and Enterprise 5G solutions, offer the flexibility of public 5G, private 5G, and satellite connectivity, combined with the zero-trust security of a simplified secure access service edge (SASE).

“After achieving success in Asia, we’re excited to expand our relationship with Ericsson into key markets, such as Australia and New Zealand,” said Westcon-Comstor Australia managing director Phil Cameron.

Westcon will deploy its suite of value-added services spanning education, data-led insights, training, and enablement to drive partner growth and to empower them to leverage the portfolio.

“Ericsson is uniquely positioned to help our partners enter new markets with their world-class private 5G solutions – markets they may have never explored before,” said Westcon-Comstor NZ managing director Dave Rosenberg.

Senior vice-president of global distribution partners at Ericsson Enterprise Wireless Solutions Julie Hens said enterprise 5G connectivity in A/NZ was advancing at a fast pace because it is not only a viable alternative to wires but also a key catalyst to business transformation.

“Ericsson’s existing successful partnership with Westcon in other countries is testament that this expanded partnership in A/NZ, together with our shared solution providers, will support customers who are on their business transformation journey,” Hens said.
