Former xAmplify CRO Howard Fyffe goes to Twilio

Twilio has brought on former xAmplify chief revenue officer (CRO), Howard Fyffe to serve as director of sales Australia and New Zealand.

Fyffe will be responsible for driving Twilio’s Communications business in the region. He and his team will be focused on enabling brands to deliver personalised digital interactions.

His appointment comes at a time when the customer engagement platform vendor looks to double down on new business, account expansion, and operational excellence in A/NZ, said Twilio vice president for communications Asia Pacific and Japan, Robert Woolfrey.

“With his leadership, we’ll accelerate our momentum and help even more customers build smarter, AI-powered customer experiences,” he said.

Prior to Twilio, Fyffe was chief revenue officer for xAmplify, whose merger with the CSO Group has since fallen through.

Earlier in June, ARN reported both businesses agreed to return to a strategic partnership model that would reflect each of their respective strengths after the break-up took place in the second half of 2024.

Fyffe was brought on as CRO a month after the initial merger announcement, tasked with integrating the two organisations’ sales team.

With the combined company now no longer progressing, he has left the organisation.

Previous to xAmplify, Fyffe served in leadership roles for VAST Data, Veritas and Nutanix. He has also worked at Cisco Systems across Asia Pacific, Australia and New York.

An accomplished sales and operations leader, Fyffe draws on over two decades’ experience in the industry. This includes domain expertise in AI, automation, data centre, hybrid cloud, risk and compliance.
