Human capital management technology consultancy HR Crowd has hired Ben Bach as its practice director for NSW to strengthen its presence in the region.

Tapping into SAP SuccessFactors and BTP, HR Crowd operates across Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) to help businesses align their HCM solutions with overall business strategy. Their services range from advisory and roadmap development to system selection and implementation.

Bach will be based in Sydney and responsible for driving growth across the region as well as supporting client engagements and contributing to national practice development.

He comes with 17 years’ experience in HCM transformation and has held positions related to SAP usage since 2008. He joins HR Crowd after most recently being NTT Data Business Solutions’ SuccessFactors practice director.

Bach has also worked at Deloitte Consulting and Presence of IT in Australia, as well as Centrica, Capgemini, IBM and Cartesis in the UK.

His role marks a “new phase of investment in leadership, capability and client proximity in the region”, according to HR Crowd. Bach’s appointment sees him included in the consultancy’s NSW practice, which runs alongside HR Crowd’s other three practices of Northern, Southern and New Zealand.

It also complements its three specialist capability practices of advisory, technology and innovation and time.

“We’ve seen strong and sustained momentum in NSW and Ben’s appointment reflects our commitment to scaling in line with that growth and deepening our leadership presence in a market that’s been a core part of our business,” said HR Crowd co-CEO Judith Carelsen.

“It’s a strategic investment in regional leadership, capability building and bringing high quality business-aligned HCM transformation expertise closer to our clients. Ben brings energy, depth and a fantastic balance of strategic and delivery capability to our leadership team at exactly the right time in our journey,” she said.

HR Crowd’s other co-CEO, Adrian Everett, added that its NSW practice is a “cornerstone” of its integrated A/NZ model.

“It plays a critical role in how we support our clients and scale our impact across sectors and states,” he said. “Ben’s appointment reflects our long-term strategy to deepen leadership, accelerate client value and build regional capability in the markets where we’re most active.”

On his appointment, Bach said what drew him to the role was its combination of specialist HR and payroll expertise, collaborative culture and “clear ambition to do things differently”.
