Dicker Data has expanded its partnership with Interactive to cover data centre services, adding to its portfolio of offerings from the IT services provider.

Through the expanded arrangement, resellers can offer Interactive’s data centre services in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane to provide locally hosted infrastructure.

This grants customers access to Interactive’s sovereign data centres, which can protect operations against outages and provide continuous, secure connectivity.

The IT service provider first partnered with Dicker Data in 2017 to offer hardware maintenance support, including post-warranty support for existing hardware and short-term services and multi-vendor maintenance, and has since expanded this year to include software and cloud distribution in addition to data centre services.

Interactive has worked with more than 600 resellers over the course of the partnership to provide end-to-end support for the distributor’s customers in Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).

Dicker Data A/NZ general manager of software Pennie Stevens said the distributor continues to see strong demand for hybrid cloud services and added that “this new offering from Interactive will enable partners of all sizes to access colocation services, and more, to support their customers’ needs”.

Interactive general manager of data centres Lizzi Long added that the new services give Dicker Data’s Australian operations a competitive edge, granting reseller partners the option of locally hosted solution capabilities.

“In today’s hybrid environment, businesses are under pressure to shift to the cloud, but many don’t know where to start. We provide market choice and guidance on the solution that works best for your organisation, ultimately supporting business objectives,” she said.
