Logicalis will be delivering Cisco Extended Detection and Response (XDR) as a global managed service (MXDR) to a number of customers across Asia Pacific (APAC), including Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

The MXDR service addresses critical security challenges through a unified incident platform. It also includes a built-in ability to integrate with multiple toolsets, complementing existing endpoint protection solutions.

The service is delivered through Logicalis’s 24×7 APAC Security Operations Centre (SOC) in Malaysia, backed by its global network of SOCs and is currently being validated as a global Cisco Powered Service (CPS).

Logicalis’ global SOC framework combines local expertise and global cyber threat intelligence to benefit customers across APAC.

The IT services provider’s APAC CEO, Lee Chong-Win, said security is the number one concern for its customers and the business is seeing a “tidal wave of demand for services amidst a growing skills gap”.

“Logicalis is investing heavily in our regional SOC capabilities to meet this demand,” he said.

Currently, EMEA customers are already live on the service.

Cyber security challenges remain prevalent across APAC, with 91 per cent of organisations surveyed in Logicalis’ recent APAC CIO report citing cyber security incidents in the last 12 months, with more than half (53 percent) experiencing multiple breaches.
