Marty Clark (Merge Technologies) Credit: Merge Technologies Workplace technology systems integrator (SI) and managed service provider (MSP) Merge Technologies has acquired audio visual (AV) services and solutions provider VC Systems, extending its reach to Brisbane. VC Systems was founded in 2016 and offers AV integration services, such as videoconferencing, digital signage and full room control and integrated audio solutions. Merge also opened in 2016 and has offices in Sydney and Melbourne. It provides solutions across hybrid workplace management and managed services in addition to also offering solutions for conference and collaboration, professional AV and digital signage. By acquiring VC Systems, Merge said it gains a broader range of solutions and enhanced technical support, with the integration of the AV provider’s expertise, resources and local market knowledge set to position it to deliver “even greater value to its clients and partners in the region”. “This acquisition represents a pivotal step in our strategy to expand our footprint to better cater for our rapidly growing national client base, while enhancing our capabilities to meet the evolving needs of businesses in Brisbane,” said Merge founder and managing director Marty Clark. VC Systems sales manager Alex Doherty said the AV services and solutions provider has a “proven track record in delivering high quality meeting room solutions and cutting edge technology into large-scale, complex spaces”. “Now, by joining forces with Merge, we’re excited to extend these capabilities even further – bringing innovative solutions to more businesses and workplaces than ever before,” he said. Additionally, Merge general manager Brad Perry said the SI and MSP will aim to contribute to job creation, support local business and strengthen its relationship with its local community. “I’m particularly passionate about creating pathways into our industry for the younger generation and this growth will enable us to provide more opportunities to develop Queensland’s AV technologists of tomorrow,” he said.
