Consultancy group Notitia has partnered with UK-headquartered software vendor Astrato Analytics to provide self-service analytics for Australian businesses.

Astrato’s platform enables users to build and share live-query, self-service analytics on top of cloud data warehouses. The solution supports a range of use cases, such as internal dashboards, revenue-generating data products and customer-facing analytics, and is suited to the healthcare, infrastructure, retail and financial sectors.

Notitia managing director and founder Alex Avery said Astrato is a “smart addition to our analytics ecosystem”, particularly for cloud-first clients.

“The no-code interface enables faster time to insight, particularly for businesses with lean internal teams or high reporting demands,” he said.

“It gives us another way to help our clients visualise and act on live data, where speed, flexibility and embedded analytics are critical.”

Avery also said the shared goal between the two companies is to help Australian businesses “leverage faster insights and data-driven decision making”.

“Clients come to us to solve complex data challenges,” he said.

“Astrato gives us another way to respond, whether that’s building internal self-service tools or publishing secure, external-facing insights.”

The partnership builds on existing agreements held with Microsoft, Databricks and Qlik, the latter being noteworthy as Astrato’s developers also created Vizlib, a Qlik extension, which was acquired by US-based insightsoftware in 2023. Astrato was not included in that deal and was able to continue as a separate business.

Avery said that Notitia considers itself as a vendor-agnostic consultancy and places emphasis on finding “the right fit” when it comes to selecting appropriate tools.

“Whether we’re designing a self-service healthcare dashboard or building an embedded solution for an FMCG [fast-moving consumer goods] client, we now have Astrato in our toolkit—and we’re already seeing where it shines,” he said.

The managing director added that Notitia’s clients are “increasingly” expecting flexible, scalable and embedded reporting solutions as business intelligence shifts from legacy desktop tools to cloud-native composable platforms.

“Dashboards are no longer the endgame,” Avery said. “It’s about using data in the flow of work—whether that’s planning, delivery, or decision-making.

“Astrato helps us support that evolution.”

Notitia’s partnership with Astrato comes less than a month after it was announced that it worked with South Western Sydney Primary Health Network to implement Qlik as a means of managing demand for mental health and addiction services.
