Enterprise software vendor OpenText has expanded its strategic partnership with Nextgen.

The expanded portfolio features enterprise cybersecurity, analytics and AI, information archive, content management (formerly Documentum), capture, share and e-signature.

This marks a significant evolution of the relationship between the two organisations since OpenText acquired Micro Focus in January 2023. Dicker Data and Netpoleon are also OpenText distributors in the A/NZ market.

Since 2017, Nextgen had been the sole distributor of Micro Focus in A/NZ and continued to collaborate closely with the OpenText teams during the post-merger integration, ensuring continuity for existing partners and customers.

This latest move signals OpenText’s confidence in Nextgen’s capability, reach, and value-added distribution model to accelerate market momentum and partner enablement across the region.

“This is a landmark moment for both organisations,” Nextgen CEO John Walters said.

“We are proud to have built a strong and enduring partnership with Micro Focus over many years, and we are excited to now extend that success across the broader OpenText solution suite.

“Many of our partners have been eager to access the full capabilities of OpenText, and we are now in a position to deliver on that demand.”

Nextgen’s portfolio now includes a comprehensive suite of enterprise information management solutions, cybersecurity, AI and analytics, IT operations management, application delivery, and digital experience platforms.

The deal also sees Nextegen accelerate the alignment of partner programs, training, and marketing initiatives that span both the legacy Micro Focus and broader OpenText portfolios.

Working in collaboration with OpenText, Nextgen will support channel partners with targeted growth initiatives and go-to-market strategies that enhance solution delivery and business performance.

Update: Article has been corrected as of 5.02pm. Dicker Data remains an OpenText distributor.
