IT service provider Orro has reinforced its leadership team with the promotions of Stuart Long as its new chief technology officer (CTO) and Matthew Maw as group executive for delivery transformation.

Long will lead Orro’s technology agenda nationally, aligning innovation with customer outcomes and market opportunity.

He enters the role with two decades of experience in technology and architecture leadership roles and has held the position of IT/OT architect at the service provider since October. Prior to Orro, he was field CTO for Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) South Pacific and also worked at e-Volve Corporate Technology and Oracle.

He replaces Michael van Rooyen in the role, who is leaving the service provider after two years.

Orro CEO Daniel Greengarten said van Rooyen’s time as CEO brought leadership and technical knowledge “that has helped to shape the business into what it is today”.

“We wish Michael all the best in his next role and thank him for his immeasurable contribution to Orro,” he said.

Meanwhile, Maw has been promoted from chief delivery officer to his new position, leading the change of Orro’s delivery model and focusing on operational excellence and scalable transformation. Additionally, Orro said the promotion builds on his leadership within its critical infrastructure business.

He brings with him more than 25 years of technology experience to the role, having previously worked at Nutanix, VMware, Dimension Data and Cisco, among other companies.

Greengarten said the appointments bolster the service provider’s strategy of aligning technical leadership with delivery excellence.

“As we grow, it’s critical that we continue to bring innovation to market in a way that’s scalable, secure and deeply customer-focused. Stuart and Matt have already made a significant impact within the business – and I’m excited to see them take on these roles to lead our next phase of growth,” he added.
