Former Logicalis Australia CEO Anthony Woodward has moved over to Orro Group, taking on the role of chief strategy and transformation officer.

In the new role for the company, Woodward will be leading the IT service provider’s company-wide strategy and transformation agenda, aligning go-to-market activities and tapping into the business’ capabilities across cyber security, networking, cloud and collaboration services.

Orro said in a statement provided to ARN that he will be responsible for the company’s “entire go to market function encompassing marketing, product and service development, and sales to underpin its goal of delivering secure connected digital infrastructure to its customers”.

“He will focus on bringing Orro’s key strengths across network, OT/IT, cyber security and the burgeoning AI opportunity the market is facing to accelerate Orro’s market share as it moves into a new phase of growth,” it said.

Additionally, the IT service provider also said the role will also be “crucial in ensuring Orro continues to meet the evolving needs of Australian businesses”.

Woodward joins Orro after spending more than three years as Logicalis Australia’s CEO – a position he held until January this year and was taken over by Lisa Fortey.

In total, he has spent more than 30 years in the Australian IT services industry. Aside from his time at Logicalis, he has held a variety of roles at Accelera, Bulletproof, Pacific Internet and Zip World.

Additionally, Woodward is also a non-executive director at in1bank, a mentor with OneUpDoneDown, a principal consultant with Larksoft and a non-executive chair at OrionVM.

Orro CEO Daniel Greengarten noted that Woodward’s appointment comes at a “pivotal time in our growth journey”.

“His experience in building and scaling leading technology organisations, combined with a deep understanding of the Australian market, makes him the ideal person to lead our strategy and transformation agenda,” he said.

On his appointment, Woodward said he will leverage his experience to “enhance Orro’s strategic direction and deliver even greater value to our clients”.

Woodward’s new role comes months after Orro bolstered its leadership team with the promotions of Stuart Long as its new chief technology officer and Matthew Maw as group executive for delivery transformation back in April.
