Cloud commerce marketplace Pax8 has revealed a new partner program called Voyager Alliance providing support, enablement, education and benefits.

The program is tailored to meet partners’ specific needs and provides a scalable and strategic growth path, built around the marketplace experience, featuring a tiered model.

“Pax8 Voyager Alliance represents our commitment to putting partners first and recognising their unique journey to success,” Pax8 CXO Craig Donovan said.

“The intentionally designed program provides our partners with the competitive advantage to accelerate their growth and succeed in the evolving channel.

“This lays the foundation for an exciting new chapter, and we will introduce a Pax8 Rewards program and additional benefits over the coming months, empowering our partners to scale to new heights.”

Donovan told ARN Pax8 services about 30,000 partners globally and realised it needed to create a structure to help deliver the right services, education and value to every partner, regardless of size.

“There is a lot of structuring around some of those existing value adds and making it really clear to our partners what they have available to them, how they unlock it and how they engage. It gives me a foundation to build some really exciting things into 2025 and beyond,” he said.

The model features five tiers; Alliance, Ignite, Velocity, Titan and Galactic with each providing differentiated experiences curated to match unique business needs and size. As partners reach higher levels in the program, they’ll unlock new benefits that elevate their experience and fuel growth.

The program is the first step as Pax8 plans to continue to roll out more opportunities for partners to take advantage of as they rise through the program tiers to earn new benefits. Some early benefits include curated event experiences and tiered pricing for professional services projects, which will help partners manage costs.

Partners can also expect to receive higher levels of technical support as they advance through the program. In addition, Pax8 Voyager Alliance introduces flexible payment options, offering multiple solutions dependent on a partner’s tier to aid in making financial business decisions.

“With the transparency it provides, you can see exactly where you fit, the resources available, and the benefits you’ll unlock at the next tier. We’re excited to strengthen our relationship with Pax8 and continue growing together,” 3rdmill CEO Natalia Scheidegger added.

Future program benefits will include Pax8 Voyager Alliance Rewards where partners can accrue points that can be used to invest back into their business by applying them to Pax8 services, education and Pax8 Marketplace purchases.

“Next year, we will introduce enhancements to Voyager Alliance that revolutionise partner rewards in the SMB cloud marketplace,” Donovan said.

“We have tremendous loyalty within our partner base, and we’re excited to launch industry-changing rewards that acknowledge marketplace investment. Just as enterprise cloud providers have successfully driven growth through consumption-based incentives, we’re bringing that powerful model to the Pax8 Marketplace.

“By recognising our partners’ historical and ongoing Marketplace spend, we’re creating a compelling ecosystem that helps MSPs accelerate their cloud journey and maximise their return on investment with Pax8.”

Pax8 Asia Pacific CEO Chris Sharp added it was aiming to meet partners where they’re currently at in the market.

“It gives me the ability to have our sales teams focus on the right partners in the right way,” Sharp said. “At the rate that we’re growing in the Asia Pacific region, we really need to get our focus right.”

According to Canalys chief analyst, Jay McBain cloud marketplace growth is expected to exceed US$45 billion by 2025, driven by various service partners within the channel ecosystem.

“Adopting a tiered model that provides a more curated experience is critical to enabling these varying partners and their goals. With its new program, Pax8 establishes the foundation to effectively support partners at scale and guide them on their path to success,” McBain said.
