The application, developed on OutSystems’ platform, streamlines field operations and improves officer productivity when policing. Victorian frontline officers are now actively using the application to enhance efficiency in issuing electronic penalty infringement notices (ePINs). By leveraging OutSystems’ platform, officers can now complete administrative tasks in a timely manner. This will allow them to focus more on community safety, enhancing time spent on frontline duties rather than administrative tasks. Victorian police officers will also be able to use the mobile application to generate and process penalty notices directly from their mobile devices in minutes, significantly reducing paperwork and administrative backlog. Additionally, the intuitive interface ensures ease of use, enabling officers to issue citations promptly while maintaining compliance with legal requirements. The launch of this technology marks a step forward in Victoria Police’s ongoing digital transformation efforts. PhoenixDX ensured the OutSystems was seamlessly implemented to meet the Victoria Police’s stringent operational and security needs. This was achieved through a strong partnership with multiple stakeholders and a deep understanding of sworn officers’ operations in the field, said PhoenixDX managing director Pedro Carrilho. “By working as one integrated team and leveraging a platform and agile delivery approach, we ensured officers have the tools they need to work more safely and efficiently in the field,” he said. The implementation will pave the way for further digital innovation within Victoria Police, with plans in place to roll out more applications using the OutSystems platform.
