Data storage vendor Pure Storage has appointed Altay Ayyuce as area vice president of A/NZ, replacing Amy Rushall, who is returning to the US as area vice-president of strategy and development for the Americas.

Ayyuce, who will report to vice president and general manager for Asia Pacific and Japan Nathan Hall, brings close to 30 years of leadership experience in the A/NZ IT and telco sectors.

In his five years with Pure Storage, he has helped many organisations overcome their business challenges with Pure’s platform.

“Australia and New Zealand have always been one of our most important markets in the APJ region and we are delighted that Altay has accepted the challenge to lead our business here,” Hall said.

“He has been a consistently outstanding leader for Pure Storage over the past five years with an unwavering focus on customer success and I am confident he can take us to even greater heights.”

Pure Storage counts companies such as AUCloud, Cumulus VFX, Toyota Financial Services, the University of Western Australia and Christchurch NZ’s St George’s Hospital as customers.

In February, Pure Storage updated its Reseller partner programme to increase profitability through incentivising partners who successfully replace aging disk-based storage with Pure’s all-flash offering.
