The distributor was chosen based on its ability to execute growth initiatives. David Long (Sektor Cyber) Credit: Duo Critical infrastructure protection vendor Opswat has signed a distribution agreement with Sektor Cyber for the Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ) region. According to a statement from Sektor, the partnership strengthens the vendor’s presence in the Asia Pacific region after entering two years ago. “Sektor Cyber was selected based on its proven ability to execute strategic growth initiatives and deliver exceptional results for the vendors it represents,” said OPSWAT senior vice president of sales James Neilson. Sektor joins Westcon-Comstor in the distribution line up. “We are confident in Sektor Cyber’s capability to support and scale our solutions across Australia and New Zealand and deliver exceptional support to our mutual customers.” Sektor general manager David Long added that the company has found its distribution model of offering information security solutions – which it has developed over the course of more than 15 years – has “really resonated with both vendors and partners alike”. “Our focus is on partnership and execution. We put strong plans in place and follow through. OPSWAT aligns with that mindset,” he said. “Its advanced portfolio of cyber security solutions and deep understanding of sector-specific challenges solve complex problems in a way our partners and their customers highly value.” Sektor’s agreement with OPSWAT comes months after Arrow ECS shut down its A/NZ operations in January.
