Comes after using JFrog’s solutions for “many moons”. Credit: Kurit afshen / Shutterstock TL Consulting has boosted its supply chain software capabilities through partnering with JFrog after using its solutions for 10 years. The collaboration enables Asia Pacific (APAC) based companies to purchase JFrog’s platform through TL Consulting and tap into its consulting services. This includes regulatory compliance and governance, cyber security and risk management, development efficiency training and cloud migration strategy planning. Speaking to ARN, TL Consulting CEO Stephen Marryatt said the business started using JFrog’s universal artifact repository manager – Artifactory “many moons ago” back in 2015. However, it only looked to become an official partner towards the end of last year following the vendor’s partnership with GitHub in May 2024. According to Marryatt, the GitHub partnership with JFrog was focused on the supply chain and complements usage of binaries, which he added is where Artifactory comes into its own. “For us, JFrog was a no brainer in going down that path,” he said. “As we’ve built up our enterprise strategy, that’s become more and more prominent. Once you start to be able to be able to look into this ecosystem, right from curation onwards, JFrog plays a big part and we saw the enablement of the MLOps [machine learning operations] side of things – that’s a big driving force as well, whereby you’re bringing DevSecOps [development, security and operations] into the model.” Additionally, Marryatt said that there’s also opportunities to progress the usage of JFrog when considering generative AI (GenAI) and machine learning (ML). “We saw that complementary cross sell opportunity as being big for our business as well,” he said. JFrog Asia Pacific senior vice president Sunny Rao echoed Marryatt’s sentiments, adding that TL Consulting has a great practice, particularly around GitHub, and great credibility in front of customers. “[TL Consulting has] shown their intent and their commitment to work with us in those spaces; … it’s almost synergistic for us to work so closely with each other,” he said to ARN. Rao also said that the partnership wasn’t initiated by JFrog or the consultancy but was in fact brokered by a customer. “The customer said, ‘You two should partner because I think you have a great fit.’ At the end of the day, I love that the most,” he said. “We are here for the customer and they are the ones who are telling us this is the right partnership and they are a good judge.” Partnership matters It’s not just the product that makes JFrog a good fit for TL Consulting, as there are other elements that make the partnership – or any vendor partnership, for that matter – worthwhile for Marryatt. With JFrog in particular, the team TL Consulting works with has strong strategic alignment and vision. “[Its] vision through [JFrog CEO Shlomi Ben Haim] … is very strong towards where we wanted to go: the convergence of cloud, DevSecOps, data and ML,” Marryatt said. “A really important area that we’re moving to, and as a part of that innovation, is taking the customer on that journey as well. What we’ve found, probably through good fortune, is that there are very few vendors that have gone down this path, partly because it’s also quite niche. “For us, working with them to be able to understand the go to market and how that maps out into our business vision has been really important and they’ve wanted to spend the time with us and build that partnership together. From an investment perspective, Marryatt added, the relationship has been very beneficial. “We’ve decided as a part of our overall joint venture to be able to invest in each other. So, there’s a handshake there,” he said. SUBSCRIBE TO OUR NEWSLETTER From our editors straight to your inbox Get started by entering your email address below.
