David Rowe (Rimini Street) Credit: Rimini Street The University of Melbourne has tapped Rimini Street’s expertise for its Mobile Learning Unit (MLU) to bring stability and enhancement for its Salesforce-based eLearning platform. Utilising the vendor’s technology platform as a core system, the MLU provides end-to-end learning solutions for education providers, which ranges from course creation and instructional design to learning management system (LMS) hosting and learner support. As such, the vendor’s platform is integral to the unit’s operations, according to MLU program office manager Pat Violo, and selected Rimini Manage and Rimini Consult for Salesforce solutions. “If it were to go down, it would impact student access to courses and our ability to manage support issues,” he said. “One of our key challenges was retaining a deep Salesforce knowledge base to implement best practices and keep the platform running as efficiently as possible.
