Credit: Danny Meadows (Wavelink) / Supplied Wavelink has launched operations in New Zealand, appointing Danny Meadows as regional manager and signaling, the company said, a long-term commitment to building a strong presence. The Infinigate Group company has supported New Zealand partners from Australia for more than 20 years. This expansion and the appointment of Meadows established local leadership to accelerate growth, Wavelink said. It also aligned with the requirements of several strategic vendors. “There is increasing demand from partners and vendors for a local presence, and this investment reflects Wavelink’s commitment to meeting that demand with the right people and support,” Wavelink chief executive Ilan Rubin said. “Having Danny on the ground gives Wavelink the ability to provide a more consistent and dedicated partner experience and meet the growing expectations of the vendor community.” Meadows’ industry experience, local insight, and partner-first mindset aligned strongly with Wavelink’s values, Rubin said. The company was confident he would play a key role in shaping the next phase of its A/NZ expansion. Wavelink plans to introduce a range of vendors from its mobility and security portfolios into the market to meet this demand. This includes Censys, Claroty, Garland Technology, Honeywell, Orca Security, Penguin Solutions, SOTI, Spectralink, and Swimlane, with more to follow. The distributor’s expanded footprint and targeted portfolio would provide partners with the capability to service growth sectors with solutions backed by well-regarded enablement, training and support services. In turn, that would help channel partners accelerate deal cycles, meet evolving customer requirements, and improve their competitive edge. Meadows will be based in Auckland, focusing on developing Wavelink’s partner network and building a local team to deliver “consistent, value-led engagement”. “I’m excited to be joining Wavelink and using my extensive network and local knowledge to further establish the New Zealand arm of the organisation,” Meadows said. “Wavelink’s reputation for delivering genuine channel value and its strong portfolio of vendors make this an ideal time to launch a local presence in New Zealand. I’m looking forward to building the business with the support of an experienced and committed team.” After six years with Ingram Micro, Meadows served Exclusive Networks as country manager before joining NextGen Group.
