Former Exetel director James Linton now leading Yomojo Credit: Supplied Art (with Permission) Yomojo has expanded its 10-year mobile agreement with Optus into a whole-of-business partnership for an additional three years. This will allow Optus to continue deliver of mobile, fixed wireless (5G home), and NBN access services across all 121 points of interconnection. The arrangement delivers a one-stop solution for Yomojo’s consumer, business, and wholesale customers, leveraging Optus’ extensive network assets, said its CEO James Linton. It also forms part of the virtual operator’s strategy to expand its service portfolio and “strengthen its position in the market”, he said.Yomojo also has an established connection with Optus connection through Exetel. In mid-2024, it went underwent a change of ownership, with Linton, former director corporate, at Exetel, assuming leadership. The decision to continue and expand with Optus was influenced by Linton’s prior experience at Exetel, where Optus Wholesale was the primary partner.“Optus was the foundation on which Exetel was built,” he said. “During the time my family owned the business, we were Optus’ largest ADSL2+ and NBN customer.
