Cyber security distributor Netpoleon has added FireMon’s security policy automation and compliance solutions to its portfolio for enterprise customers and resellers across Australia and New Zealand (A/NZ).

Netpoleon A/NZ regional director Paul Lim said the deal with FireMon looked to “fill customer gaps created from the recent departure of Skybox”.

A spokesperson for Netpoleon told ARN, Skybox Security ceased its operation in February and are working to transition current resellers to Firemon. It has also been widely reported in the media that the vendor dismissed its staff in Israel and the US.

In 2022, ARN reported Netpoleon signed a deal to distribute Skybox Security in Australia. At the time the Skybox said extending the partnership to Australian channel players was “a logical step towards broadening market reach”.

“For many years, FireMon has been serving enterprise customers with its firewall security manager on-premises and more recently in the cloud,” Lim said.

The agreement comes as FireMon expands in the Asia Pacific market (APAC) and as demand for automated firewall management tools continues to rise.

The vendor’s platform provides visibility, automation and control over complex security environments, enabling enterprises to manage firewall policies across on-prem, hybrid and multi-cloud infrastructures.

FireMon chief revenue officer Brian Keets said the vendor was a “channel-only company”.

“Netpoleon’s local expertise and extensive reseller ecosystem will be key to delivering scalable, proactive security policy management that meets the needs of modern enterprise customers,” he said.

The partnership is effective immediately, with joint go-to-market activities and channel enablement programs rolling out in the coming months.
