HPE has promoted Mark Ablett to take charge of the networking arm’s integrated sales organisation for the Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ) region following its acquisition of Juniper Networks.

In the role of APJ vice president of HPE Networking, Ablett will be tasked with driving growth and customer success region-wide and overseeing the combined go-to-market strategy for the division.

According to the vendor, HPE Networking “brings together the strengths of HPE Aruba Networking and Juniper Networks”.

“With a strong focus on delivering AI-native networking solutions from edge to cloud, I’m committed to empowering our customers and partners to turn innovation into measurable business impact,” he said.

Ablett enters his promotion after more than a year at HPE Aruba Networking and more than 25 years of experience in leadership positions across APJ.

His job history also includes close to seven years of experience at Juniper Networks, where he worked from May 2008 until January 2015, when he departed as South Asia vice president.

In addition to HPE and Juniper Networks, he has also worked at Hitachi Vantara, SpectraLink, and Telxon.
