The company aims to tackle AI, data and cloud technology for customers, with its core service lines including strategy, roadmap and advisory; data and AI; intelligent and agentic apps; secure foundations; and training, change and enablement. In addition, as a Microsoft Solutions partner, nexwave is in the process of delivering next generation agentic and AI-related programs across several industries. “Organisations are excited about AI, but they need help cutting through the hype,” said Salmanzadeh. “We built nexwave to deliver clarity, confidence and execution capability – so clients see real, lasting results, not just another roadmap and proof of concept.” In all, six employees are on deck, with no set office location at launch. The six employees are based across Victoria, South Australia and Queensland, with the intent to expand to NSW soon. As the consultancy grows, Salmanzadeh added that there are plans to open offices in NSW and Victoria within the next 12 months. Salmanzadeh comes to the table with two dates of experience assisting boards and C-suites making use of data, working in roles either in a technology or consultative capacity. Prior to forming nexwave, he was CEO at specialist consulting firm Agile Analytics, where he guided transformation projects across government, retail, finance and not-for-profits. He also worked at OTR as head of AI, data and robotics, People’s Choice Credit Union as credit risk analytics manager and a variety of roles at Westpac over a 13-year period, which covered management, technology and analytics. Meanwhile, Lowenborg enters the fold after working at Cevo for several years as its national sales director, who was replaced in July 2024 by Mark Badenach. Aside from Cevo, Lowenborg’s career includes the like of Amazon Web Services, Kloud Solutions, Microsoft, looksoftware, insightful and Inktomi Coporation. The bulk of his experience comes from Microsoft, where he worked for close to a decade. “At nexwave, we’re not just technologists – we’re commercial operators who understand what drives business value,” Lowenborg said. “Our mission is build tomorrow today. We do this by helping clients grow, transform and lead, with AI, data and cloud working in concert.” SUBSCRIBE TO OUR NEWSLETTER From our editors straight to your inbox Get started by entering your email address below.
